Liverpool are preparing to make one of the boldest transfer moves of the summer by launching a record-breaking offer to sign Newcastle United’s star striker Alexander Isak.  The Swedish international is now firmly on the Reds’ radar, and all signs are pointing toward a potential blockbuster deal that could shake the Premier League. Isak, who arrived at Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 for a club-record fee of £63 million, has quickly risen to become one of the most lethal forwards in Europe.   In just 109 appearances for the Magpies, the 25-year-old has netted 62 goals, showcasing pace, flair, composure, and the kind of goal-scoring instinct that has drawn comparisons to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. Frustration Behind the Scenes at Newcastle Despite his remarkable form, it appears that Isak is growing restless at St. James’ Park. Multiple trusted insiders, including Thesportmoment’s Fraser Fletcher and others like Fabrizio Romano, Ben Jacobs, and Craig Hope, have all...

Man Utd's quick-fix exit strategy saw them drastically cut Garnacho's asking price.

As a deal to a Premier League competitor appears more plausible, Manchester United has reportedly cut their £70 million asking price for Alejandro Garnacho in an attempt to expedite their departure.  Near the close of the previous season, the Argentine forward lost all favour with Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim.  The last straw was when he started the Europa League final against Tottenham in Bilbao as a substitute. "I played every round helping the team up until the final, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know," Garnacho said in a statement following the game.  "My decision will be influenced not only by the final but also by the club's overall status and the season. I'm going to make an effort to enjoy the summer and wait to see what occurs. His brother Robert's Instagram post, which added: "Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 minutes and get thrown under the...

Real Madrid gives Liverpool a long-term aim to go with Wirtz while Slot makes a snap decision.

According to rumours in Spain, Aurelien Tchouameni is one of three players who have been told they have no future under new Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso.  Liverpool has been given the opportunity to finally sign the long-term objective. The Premier League winners made a swift deal to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold with Jeremie Frimpong, and they have since exploded out of the transfer blocks this summer. Additionally, Liverpool's defence will feel more modern and fresh with the impending arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in a transaction estimated to be worth between £40 million and £45 million. But what has fans really excited is the impending signing of Florian Wirtz.  There is still hope that a record-breaking deal will soon be concluded, even though negotiations for a complete agreement with Bayer Leverkusen have eventually proven to be a drawn-out procedure. Given that Wirtz is poised to emerge as Liverpool's first-choice attacking midfielder, the Reds now have th...

Carragher calls the Liverpool statement's response to Alexander-Arnold a "step too far."

Image
After making a generalisation about how Reds players are treated, Jamie Carragher criticised Liverpool supporters for going "too far" in their treatment of Trent Alexander-Arnold.  In early May, Alexander-Arnold informed Liverpool that he will be departing at the end of the current campaign.  Many were curious to see how a young Reds star who had been with the team for 20 years would be handled once that choice was made public. Fans have been criticising Alexander-Arnold on social media, and when he made his first appearance for Liverpool since his statement was made public, that sentiment continued.  To a chorus of jeers, Alexander-Arnold was substituted for Conor Bradley against Arsenal in the 67th minute, giving the youthful right-back additional playing time before he most certainly takes over the position next season.  During the game, several people warmed up to him, especially when he nearly scored with a free kick.  However, Liverpool great Carragher cri...

Ahead of the summer transfer window, Mikel Arteta has communicated his desires to Andrea Berta at Arsenal

Image
According to Mikel Arteta, Arsenal must  "squad quality and availability" in order to contend for all four trophies the following season.  Key players including Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz have all missed significant portions of the 2024–25 season due to injuries, which have plagued the Gunners. This made it extremely difficult to stay up with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, and the team lost badly to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final and was eliminated from the FA Cup in the third round. The north Londoners still have a chance to win a trophy this season, though, as they face PSG in the Champions League semi-final. This summer is anticipated to be hectic for Arteta and new sporting director Andrea Berta, regardless of the outcome versus the French champs. In addition to a new midfield player, Thesportmoment is aware that the club wants to strengthen its forward areas during the summer transfer window. Martin Zubimendi'...

Mikel Arteta's boost explains Arsenal's largest Alexander Isak transfer announcement to date

Image
Over the course of 180 minutes against Real Madrid, Arsenal shown their seriousness. They used a megaphone and a screaming sign to shout it from the rooftops without ever saying it. Arsenal received the attention it deserved for their performance. It is nearly unheard of to do something to that team in that way. In the opposite leg, teams that defeat Madrid usually feel the full weight of history. This big old club nevertheless manages to win most of the time. However, there weren't many times during the match when Arsenal appeared to be in danger. There weren't many genuine nerves by the time Vinicius Jr. finally managed to get them on the scoreboard.  The feeling was more of astonishment that events had transpired so brilliantly. Indeed, these findings will cause a stir throughout Europe. Not only does it have the potential to upset the status quo, but it will also have long-term effects. Madrid frequently gets their way with things. Players' perceptions of badge...
