Ahead of the summer transfer window, Mikel Arteta has communicated his desires to Andrea Berta at Arsenal

According to Mikel Arteta, Arsenal must  "squad quality and availability" in order to contend for all four trophies the following season. 

Key players including Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz have all missed significant portions of the 2024–25 season due to injuries, which have plagued the Gunners. This made it extremely difficult to stay up with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, and the team lost badly to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final and was eliminated from the FA Cup in the third round.

The north Londoners still have a chance to win a trophy this season, though, as they face PSG in the Champions League semi-final. This summer is anticipated to be hectic for Arteta and new sporting director Andrea Berta, regardless of the outcome versus the French champs.

In addition to a new midfield player, Thesportmoment is aware that the club wants to strengthen its forward areas during the summer transfer window. Martin Zubimendi's transfer has already been negotiated, and Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak, and Benjamin Sesko have all been connected to a move to Emirates Stadium.

Arteta was asked what the team needs to compete on all four fronts next season before Arsenal's match against Ipswich Town on Sunday. The Spaniard said, "Squad quality and availability," 

"We can't participate in four competitions without those two. It's not feasible at this level, particularly in this nation." 

Arteta responded, "Both, the higher the quality, the higher the availability, the more chances, probability you have," when asked if that equates to squad depth. after you must complete it. However, the likelihood is high.

Arteta was also questioned about if the victory over Madrid will aid the team in acquiring players come summertime. Perhaps it's a different faction. However, I believe we are extremely fortunate because every time I speak with guys, they want to be a part of our football team," he stated.

It's likely to inspire greater zeal, more faith, and the realisation that "okay, I want to be part of these nights now because the club is in a good place." However, I believe that we are already powerful enough to draw in any talent. Berta, who played for rivals Atletico Madrid for 12 years, would have especially loved the victory over Real Madrid. prior to quitting his position a few months back. 

After the victory, Arteta was asked how pleased the sporting director was. "Well, particularly when everything is new when you enter a new club in the middle of the season. He probably wants me to be a part of it and for everything to go and stay good," Arteta remarked. "Obviously, he was quite thrilled. He is incredibly driven, a winner, and extremely content.
