Real Madrid's position on acquiring Alexis Mac Allister of Liverpool is revealed following the Franco Mastantuono transaction.

According to a Spanish rumour, Real Madrid is unwilling to give Liverpool the amount they demand for Alexis Mac Allister.

However, Los Blanco thinks they may sign one of Arne Slot's greatest players if Florian Wirtz moves to Anfield.

After joining Liverpool from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023, Mac Allister has emerged as one of the Premier League's top midfielders.

The 26-year-old, who won the Copa America in 2024 and the World Cup in 2022, made 49 appearances for Liverpool last season, contributing seven goals and six assists as Slot's team easily won the Premier League title.

The current Los Blancos boss and former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is reportedly a huge fan of the Argentine star, who has been linked to a move to Madrid during the summer transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti, the former manager of Real Madrid, is also said to have stated his wish to collaborate with the dynamic midfield player at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to Defensa Central, Ancelotti would have wanted to sign Mac Allister rather than bring in Franco Mastantuono from River Plate, his Argentinean compatriot.

Before leaving for the Brazil manager position at the end of the previous season, Ancelotti reportedly told Madrid, "I want Mac Allister in midfield.

The Real Madrid-focused Spanish news outlet reported that although Madrid "likes" Mac Allister, "they are not willing to commit to signing him.

While Madrid will pay €63.2 million (£53.8 million, $73 million) in total (including funds for Spanish tax authorities and AFA Structural Funds) for Mastantuono, who will move to the Santiago Bernabeu in August when he turns 18, Liverpool would demand more than €100 million (£85 million, $115.5 million) for the seasoned Argentina international midfielder.

Mastantuono, who has one Argentina cap, is apparently regarded by Madrid as someone who "will soon be considered one of the best players in the world.

Mastantuono and new Madrid boss Alonso have reportedly "had a long conversation" during which Alonso explains his role in the team and the opportunities he will have.

According to the report, Real Madrid is "optimistic" about signing Ibrahima Konate.

Additionally, according to Defensa Central, Madrid thinks they can recruit Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool.

Because of Liverpool's significant investment in Germany international offensive midfielder Wirtz, Madrid officials are "optimistic" about Konate.

With £16.5 million in possible add-ons, Liverpool will pay Bayer Leverkusen an initial transfer fee of £100 million for Wirtz, according to Sky Sports.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, both defenders, have also been given new contracts by the Premier League winners.

According to reports, Madrid thinks Liverpool will find it difficult to extend Konate's contract on his conditions, increasing Los Blancos' chances of acquiring the France international centre defender when he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2026.
