Liverpool is "pressing" to recruit a "crazy" talent within the "next few hours."

According to a reliable source, Liverpool is eager to complete a deal for Milos Kerkez because Arne Slot's team wants to beat Bayern Munich to the Bournemouth left-back's signature.

The Reds easily won the Premier League title last season, but the team's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), recognise that they need to bolster their roster and bring in more talented players.

Liverpool cannot remain stagnant since that would be regressive, especially because teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all expected to add players during the summer transfer window.

The left-back position is one that Liverpool is eager to improve this summer.

The season has not been very good for Andy Robertson, and Kostas Tsimikas is not healthy enough to play for Liverpool every single week.

According to a September 2024 report by Fraser Fletcher, Thesportmoment's transfer correspondent, Liverpool want to recruit Kerkez from Bournemouth in the summer of 2025.

According to sources who spoke to Thesportmoment, Bournemouth is seeking £45 million for the left-back, who in July 2023 was called "a crazy dude" who is "aggressive" and "powerful" by his former teammate Mathew Ryan in Soccer News.

Rudy Galetti, the Sportmoment transfer journalist, has now stated on X that Liverpool is "pushing" to complete a deal for Kerkez within the next few hours.

The Premier League winners are anxious to finalise a deal for the Hungary international left-back as soon as possible because they fear a late approach from Bayern.

In an attempt to conclude negotiations with Bournemouth, Liverpool is working to finalise the agreement for Milos Kerkez within the next few hours, Galetti said on X.

"In order to prevent a potential late Bayern comeback, #LFC wants to finalise everything as soon as possible.

On Bournemouth's future, Milos Kerkez speaks out

One of the Premier League's top left-backs, Kerkez was a standout for Bournemouth the previous campaign.

In 41 games for Bournemouth, the 21-year-old Hungarian star provided six assists and two goals.

At the same time, I think it's normal that if you play well and the team does well, then you get into the news and end up on the front page, and everyone talks about you," the left-back said in a recent interview with Nemzeti Sport regarding his future.

I see this as motivation to keep going. All of this teaches me humility and inspires me, yet it doesn't break me or increase my ego either.
