As Manchester United learns to hijack transfers, Striker Monster choose an unexpected new team.

Dusan Vlahovic is still available for Manchester United to sign this summer, but they will need to move quickly to persuade the Juventus star to join the Premier League after he reportedly stated that he intended to join a surprise team instead.

After becoming a target for Arsenal during his time at Fiorentina, the strong 6' 3" forward has been frequently linked to a move to the Premier League for a number of years.

Even though the Gunners are no longer interested in Vlahovic, the 25-year-old is still being floated as a potential target by high-profile Premier League teams.

In fact, a number of English teams have expressed interest in signing the striker after it was made clear that he is free to leave Juventus this summer.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest are among those who have been offered the opportunity to do so.

Indeed, it was reported earlier this week that United had begun negotiations with his representation over a potential transfer to Old Trafford, and the striker himself gave the deal a resounding thumbs up.

And on Friday, we disclosed that Forest officials were the most probable Premier League team to sign him after initiating negotiations over a bold contract.

Transfer journalist Graeme Bailey claims that AC Milan, who do have an advantage due to Massimiliano Allegri's re-appointment for a second stint at the San Siro, has emerged as a fresh contender for the 108-goal striker monster.

Bailey, who also collaborated with the striker at Juventus, asserts that Vlahovic now favours a move to the San Siro.

"I can confirm that there are currently no offers on the table in the Premier League for Vlahovic, despite interest in him from England," Bailey told TBR.

Due to Allegri's transfer to Milan, there was a suspicion among the teams that he was waiting for further interest.

They are reportedly Vlahovic's clear favourites right now, but that might change. "We might see Premier League interest materialise if that does, but it hasn't happened yet."

Juventus put eight players up for sale, allowing Dusan Vlahovic to depart for a low price.

Even if Milan is now in control, United can still force their way to the front of the queue and sign him before the Rossoneri do.

We also know that Vlahovic's main goal this summer has always been to join the Premier League, a suggestion that Rudy Galetti supported on Friday when talking about Nottingham Forest's big aspirations.

But if United made a serious move, they would probably become the most serious candidates to sign him.

The attacker is "motivated by the idea of working under Ruben Amorim and playing in a more open, physically demanding league," according to Football Transfers, which also claims that Vlahovic sees Manchester United as the perfect next step in his career.

The good news is that Juventus is reportedly willing to sell the 36-time Serbian striker for a very low price of €25 million (£21.3 million, $29 million) in order to relieve them of the enormous £320,000 per week salary that he received while he was a member of the team.

Even though those salaries would be problematic, his desire to go to England might serve as motivation to lower any high compensation expectations he might make during negotiations.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Juventus has listed eight players for sale this summer, with the Bianconeri open to hearing offers for Vlahovic as well as Douglas Luiz, Lloyd Kelly, Samuel Mbangula, Arkadiusz Milik, Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani, and Filip Kostic.

Viktor Gyokeres is one of their more ambitious goals to aid in a rebuild, and the Italian newspaper believes they want to let the players go after a disappointing season in which they finished fourth.

Man Utd transfer news: massive Osimhen bid tipped; Frank's Mbeumo vision

Given rumours that a move to Tottenham Hotspur is accelerating and Fabrizio Romano's explanation that the possibility of Thomas Frank reuniting with the star was discussed "as soon as he signed his contract" at the club, United appears more likely to be disappointed in their attempt to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

In other news, a talkSPORT analyst is urging United to invest money on Victor Osimhen because he believes a deal can be reached.

Finally, on July 1, seven months after announcing his arrival and with the player predicted to have a bright future in the game, United will formally welcome Amorim, their first Old Trafford acquisition, to the team.
