Harley Emsden-James, a teenager from Southampton who was also being pursued by other Premier League opponents, has supposedly been acquired by Manchester United.

For a while now, the Red Devils have been in the lead for the 16-year-old phenom, who is regarded as one of the most attractive prospects in his age group.

According to United insider Sully, the transaction is "done.

According to the source, Manchester United has reportedly pushed aside interest from Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Arsenal in order to sign the young player.

Eleven days ago, rumours of a deal for Emsden-James initially surfaced. 

Because of his age, Emsden-James is not currently bound by a professional contract; however, Southampton will be compensated £1 million in "academy compensation" for his services. 

Even though Emsden-James won't turn 17 until March of next year, he has already played for Southampton's Under-18 team and is probably going to join United's teammates.

Given that he is already playing up a few age groups, Emsden-James is clearly a huge talent who, if he develops as anticipated, may have a long career at Old Trafford.

As the Red Devils continue their strategy of acquiring the best teenage players, the young Englishman won't be the first young player to join United this summer. 

Young full-back Diego Leon, a Paraguayan who United had previously signed in January, is also en route to Carringtonm.

Enzo Kana-Biyik, an 18-year-old French striker, will also join on a free transfer from Le Havre.

The three acquisitions once again demonstrate INEOS' strategy to invest in the future by developing the first team's ability internally rather than shelling out astronomical sums of money for pre-made stars.

By bloodying characters like Harry Amass, Chido Obi-Martin, and Ayden Heaven near the close of the previous season, Ruben Amorim has already demonstrated his support for the proposal.
