Romano shares Liverpool's "expectation" following worries from Wirtz, Frimpong, and Kerkez.
In light of the alarming lack of progress in Liverpool's attempts to sign Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has made his expectations known for all three deals public.
In order to prepare for a historic summer transfer window, Liverpool has not wasted any time.
The ideal successor for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is moving to Real Madrid, is Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen.
Frimpong has passed a medical and has personal terms with the Dutchman. Frimpong has a €35 million release clause that Liverpool plans to activate.
Liverpool has largely reached a personal agreement with Milos Kerkez, who will replace Andy Robertson as the team's first choice at left defender.
There are still open talks with Bournemouth about a transfer fee of between £40 million and £45 million.
However, the most significant transaction in Liverpool's potential triple coup is on Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz, who is already among Liverpool's highest-paid players, has agreed to a five-year contract with the Reds.
Their lucky charm, who opted to join Liverpool over Bayern Munich, is valued at an incredible €150 million, or £126 million, by Leverkusen.
Liverpool made their first formal proposal for Wirtz on Monday morning, according to reliable reporter Romano.
The offer was valued at "more than €100 million package with add-ons." Curiously, though, there haven't been many developments in the Wirtz issue in the past 48 hours.
No information has been released regarding Leverkusen's acceptance or rejection of the bid, or what counter-demands they made in the event that they did.
Furthermore, there is still no hint of a statement on Frimpong or a club-to-club agreement with Bournemouth for Kerkez.
Given Liverpool's recent history of losing out on important transfer targets like Jude Bellingham, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Martin Zubimendi, some people may find the radio quiet worrying.
Romano, however, stated on his YouTube channel that all three of Liverpool's transactions are still on course and that he "expects" the three agreements WILL be finalised.
Let me make it clear that Florian Wirtz's talks with Liverpool are still ongoing," Romano started. To be clear, let me say this. "Done, Frimpong.
With talks going on with Bournemouth and the transaction with the player nearly complete, Milos Kerkez is a deal that might actually happen for Liverpool. "So, Liverpool is working on the Milos Kerkez deal.
After the initial proposal, they have reached an agreement with Florian Wirtz and are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen.
They are talking about the bonuses and all the specifics of this agreement, but they are undoubtedly working hard to close the Florian Wirtz deal. Moreover, it won't take long.
That's the word from people involved in this transaction, and I still expect it to be finalised.
The Wirtz coup was a "disgrace" to the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich.
The news that Liverpool is in a strong position to wrest Germany's top player from the country's greatest club has been received in Germany as expected.
Indeed, German tabloid BILD reported that Liverpool swooping in to hijack the deal is a “embarrassment” for the Bavarian titans.
Bayern icon Lothar Matthaus also expressed his feelings about the Reds surpassing his former team for the incredibly gifted 22-year-old, describing it as "painful" for Uli Hoeness, Die Roten's honorary president.
According to Matthaus, Uli Hoeness has frequently declared that Wirtz was their ideal player and that Bayern would do everything in their power to acquire him.
"This is a defeat for Bayern, and for Uli Hoeness personally, this is definitely the most painful in the transfer market in recent times."
Simply put, Bayern is not the best. The Premier League is the greatest league in the world, with the highest calibre and the widest reach. It moves quickly and intensely.
