Prem rivals "certainly" shouldn't recruit a Spurs player, according to a former Tottenham scout, as it would be a tremendous financial waste.

Bryan King, a former Tottenham scout, has informed Everton that unless they can get a lot of money from the sale of one of their own assets, he "certainly wouldn't buy" a Spurs failure.

This season, not many Spurs players have performed very well in England. Of the Premier League teams that haven't been demoted, the North Londoners are the worst, sitting in 17th place.

However, some players—especially expensive ones like Richarlison—have received more criticism than others.

The £60 million striker's future has been the subject of much conjecture.

According to reports, Tottenham is willing to let him leave the team, but the striker may want to wait to see if Ange Postecoglou is still in charge come next season.

Everton, his previous club, has been frequently mentioned, but former Tottenham scout King has advised them not to pursue the expensive acquisition.

He was never a success at Goodison Park, but I know the Everton fans liked him. If I were Everton, I wouldn't purchase him, but I might take him on loan," he told Tottenham News. Observing Richarlison, he was among Tottenham's semi-final disappointments. His nonverbal cues are off.

To me, that seems like a bit of a ridiculous deal. "In my opinion, that doesn't have much credibility unless Everton can secure £70 million for Beto and sign Richarlison on loan with the intention of purchasing him.

Richarlison's sale might cost Tottenham a lot of money.

It's unclear if Everton will actually choose to pursue Richarlison.

The north London club might lose a lot of money on the striker, though, if they do and Tottenham wants to get rid of him.

Given that they might lose Dominic Calvert-Lewin for nothing, it has been suggested that the Toffees could make a bid of £30 million for their former striker.

Tottenham would lose half of their initial investment in Richarlison if he were to be sold for that amount.

Tottenham round-up: Two defenders are required

Paul Robinson, a former Tottenham goalie, has informed the team of what is needed as Cristian Romero is expected to leave.

The likelihood that Romero will move on is increasing daily as a result of his departure. I think they will need two more if Romero does leave.

If they can get [Marc] Guehi to sign before anyone else does, he would be at the top of the list, he stated. James Maddison, an offensive midfielder, is "not going to be sold" by Spurs, according to Robinson.

In the meantime, it has been claimed that Fabio Paratici wants to replace Ange Postecoglou as manager of Tottenham with Roberto De Zerbi.
