Man Utd should sign the "unbelievable" UCL finalist before Liverpool, according to Gary Neville.

After another well-known commentator pushed Liverpool to recruit Inter Milan player Denzel Dumfries, Gary Neville advised Manchester United they might think about making an exciting move for him.

Prior to joining Inter in August 2021, Dumfries played for Sparta Rotterdam, Heerenveen, and PSV.

Dumfries has become one of Europe's top wing-backs throughout his tenure with the Serie A powerhouses.

This season, Inter could add to their collection of trophies, which includes one Scudetto, two Coppa Italias (Italian Cups), and three Supercoppa Italianas (Italian Super Cups) thanks to the right-sided ace.

In addition to competing against Napoli for the Serie A championship, the Nerazzurri defeated Barcelona to get to the Champions League final, where they will take on Paris Saint-Germain.

Dumfries has made 41 appearances for Inter this season, tallying 10 goals and six assists. With two goals and three assists during the two legs against Barca, he was an irresistible force down the right wing.

Neville, a veteran at Manchester United, described Dumfries as the ideal addition to Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation on the Stick to Football podcast.

You know what I kept thinking? I was thinking about that right wing-back Dumfries for United, with them playing with their back five and wing-backs," he remarked.

I hope he plays in the Premier League." How excellent was he, Dumfries? Incredibly so.

He is really, really good. On April 28, United was predicted to make a "mind-blowing" double transfer by snatching up Dumfries and another key Inter player.

However, if United decided to increase their interest in the 29-year-old, they might encounter competition.

Denzel Dumfries is admired by both Manchester United and Liverpool.

With the Englishman set to sign a free move to Real Madrid, Dumfries has been considered as a possible replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool.

And Alan Shearer has recommended that Liverpool take precisely that action.

The former striker recently stated, "There's no doubt that when I've seen Denzel Dumfries in that system, he's shone, even though he plays in a completely different system with Inter Milan.

He has had amazing energy, and his proficiency in forward positions is what I find most astounding.

In the [Champions League] semifinals, he scored a few goals and provided an assist.

Offensively, he's a very, very talented player, but defensively, that's another story. Being a fellow Dutchman, Arne Slot will know him better than anyone else.

He has the potential to win the league and the Champions League, so he's obviously in a very healthy position, but signing with Liverpool would still be an option.
