Kevin De Bruyne: Significant advancement following a significant Inter Miami development

America Chicago Fire, another MLS team, is in the lead to recruit Kevin de Bruyne should he choose to go to the United States after Inter Miami gave up their chance to negotiate with the departing Manchester City midfielder.

Miami was the only MLS team in the US to negotiate with the 33-year-old playmaker since they had him on their "discovery list."

According to BBC Sport sources, they will not pursue his signing, thus De Bruyne will not be joining Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets at Chase Stadium.

They had until mid-July to determine whether to hold talks.

De Bruyne declared in April that he would be departing City when his current contract ends at the conclusion of the current season, leaving the door open for the Chicago Fire, who have the first opportunity to speak with him.

In fact, Chicago was "in talks" to sign him to a designated player contract, according to an ESPN story on Saturday.

Six Premier League championships and the 2023 Champions League are among the 16 trophies De Bruyne has won at Etihad Stadium.

De Bruyne is urging Man City to make a U-turn. However, according to a startling GiveMeSport report that surfaced earlier Tuesday, De Bruyne truly wants City executives to make an incredible U-turn by extending his contract.

Three days after the FA Cup final, on May 20, Bournemouth will visit the Etihad, and City supporters will be ready to bid farewell to the famous Champions League winner and six-time Premier League champion.

However, the source claims that the Belgian wants the City's leadership to take into account a dramatic change of heart.

According to reports, the playmaker is pleading with Pep Guardiola and City to think about extending his contract if he remains healthy and plays a significant role in the team through the end of the current campaign.

Even if his departure was publicised on social media, De Bruyne would "seriously consider" staying at City if given the chance.

However, considering that he has already stated that he would love to play in a nation where he frequently takes vacations, a move to the US still appears to be the most likely scenario.

San Diego FC had previously held discussions with De Bruyne, but they quickly acknowledged that his wage demands would be too exorbitant.
