Bruno Fernandes makes a shocking revelation After admitting their frustrations with the Europa League final, Manchester United left the team.

Following their heartbreaking loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has stated that he is willing to leave Old Trafford this summer if they deem it would be best to cash in on him.

His likely future move has already been made public. Brennan Johnson's tenacious goal in the first half was sufficient to separate the two teams as the Red Devils fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Estadio San Mames against their Premier League rivals.

Even if it was a generally bad game and neither team played at their best, Manchester United's defeat in Bilbao marks a new low in a season that has been dreadfully bad and has seen them bounce from crisis to crisis.

The immediate result of the loss is that United will enter the 2025–2026 season with just three competitions to compete in and no European football to focus on.

This will be the first time United has not been in Europe since the 2014–15 season. In the long run, the defeat in northern Spain might have far more significant repercussions.

After a terrible season, manager Ruben Amorim put the board to the test at Old Trafford following that loss.

In addition, captain Fernandes has offered to go if the team determines it would be best to cash in on him to aid in their post-loss reconstruction.

I've always been truthful. After Wednesday night's loss, Fernandes informed the media, "I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go.

I can't wait to accomplish more and share the wonderful times with the club." Football is like this; you never know when the team will decide that I'm too much or that it's time to split ways. However, I've always said it and I always follow through on it.

"It's what it is, and football can be like this at times, if the club feels it's time to part ways because they want to cash in or something." Fernandes, who is frequently seen as the hero, acknowledges that the Spurs defeat devastated him.

It's really depressing. "Our top priority in this final was to win," he stated. We've done some excellent things in this competition up to this point, so it's a very sad day.

However, today was the most crucial day of the competition and the day that mattered. We had the opportunity to be in the history of the Europa League on that day, but things don't work out that way. Additionally, football is brutal, and we have lost.

Bruno Fernandes: Where may the Manchester United captain go next?

For the third consecutive year and the fourth time in his five and a half seasons at Old Trafford, the Portuguese player was just voted Manchester United's player of the season.

Even though the star turned 30 last September, his 98 goals and 86 assists from 289 games show that he is still United's best player by far.

Therefore, should the team choose to cash in, he might still get a hefty transfer price.

In light of this, significant indications over the past month have indicated that Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal will launch a determined strategy this summer and is willing to pay a hefty price to persuade United to sell their captain.

With a wage offer of over €70 million (£59 million) per season, reports in Spain indicate that Al Hilal is prepared to "go all out" to acquire him amid rumours of a massive £150 million deal.

Given that Fernandes already makes £15.6 million a year, he would be eligible for a huge pay boost, with the breakdown potentially putting him at an incredible £1.134 million per week. Nevertheless, last month when asked about his future

Amorim maintains that United has no intention of letting go of their skipper. He responded, "It's not going to happen!" when asked if Fernandes could go. "That is the challenge," he added when asked why he is so certain the 30-year-old will stay. Bruno should be here.

We want the best players with us so we can win the Premier League again." The midfield player extended his commitment to the team until the summer of 2027 with the option of an additional year when he inked a new contract at Old Trafford during the summer.

He's still so young because he plays 55 games every season," Amorim continued. He contributes at least 30 goals and assists. He's the player we want here, and he won't be leaving.

The issue is within our control. He seems to be quite content here. He is aware of our intentions. "He truly feels it; he's like another Manchester United fan.

Sometimes, when you and everyone else see the aggravation and say, "It's not good for the captain," it's an indication that he really wants it. We're looking for a player like this. He won't be leaving because I told him already.

Man Utd news: Rio is furious over Bilbao's performance; the Delap transfer plan is lost

Naturally, both current and former United players are not happy with that loss in Bilbao. Rio Ferdinand, who chastised Amorim and company for a "disaster of a season" and believes they did not do enough to win the Cup that evening, has also ripped into the team after the poor performance.

United's defeat might have cast doubt on that transfer because it was rumoured that winning the Europa League could aid in the recruitment of Liam Delap, who hopes to play in Europe the next season.

Additionally, the Red Devils have been considering a number of elite players that they may not be able to sign at this time.

In fact, since more costly players might not be available, they are now considering the £20 million steal of Richard Rios in the midfield.

Emiliano Martinez, the custodian for Aston Villa, is also attracting interest; United has been informed that the Argentine will fetch a £40 million cost.
