Vinnie Jr. accepts a Real Madrid contract after turning down a billion-euro offer.

Vinicius Jr. A verbal deal has been reached after Vinicius Jr. turned down a one billion euro offer to re-sign with Real Madrid. It has been made clear why this is great news for Arsenal. The Real Madrid winger is still one of the most productive attackers in football, and many people think it was unfortunate that he lost to Rodri for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

Vinicius Jr. has easily surpassed the 20-goal milestone in four straight seasons in Spain, but there have been rumours that he would end up in Saudi Arabia. Desperate to change their reputation as a "retirement league," the Saudi Pro League made Vinicius a top transfer target, particularly after they were unable to sign Mohamed Salah. Vinicius, 24, is only starting his career, and as you could assume, the amounts offered are quite astounding.

Cadena SER claims that Vinicius was presented with a huge contract offer worth "at least €1 billion spread over five years." That's about €3.85 million per year over five years, which is roughly equivalent to a weekly wage of €3.85 million, £3.33 million, or $4.32 million. Vinicius turned down the offer, according to the report, because he didn't like the length of the deal, but Saudi dealmakers are unforgiving and Vinicius remained firmly in their sights.

Additionally, it was recently reported by DefensaCentral that an extension at the Bernabeu, where his current contract only has two years left, had been "blocked by salary issues." Nevertheless, Real Madrid supporters can now rest easy after two updates from reliable reporter Fabrizio Romano.

"Vinicius Jr. is close to signing a new contract with Real Madrid for the next five years," Romano posted on X on Wednesday. As La Ser stated, the deal is nearly complete. We are awaiting clarification on whether it will remain in effect until 2030 or 2029, with the possibility of an extension.

Vini has always desired to remain with Real Madrid. Vinicius and Real Madrid have now verbally agreed to an extension, according to a follow-up from Romano. Although official action has not yet been taken, the overwhelming evidence now suggests that Vinicius will remain in Madrid until at least 2029.

More on Vinicius Jr new deal,” began Romano. “No date has been fixed yet to get the new agreement signed, waiting on the final details to be sealed. There is an initial verbal agreement in existence, and the deal's duration is 2029 with a 2030 or extension option. No official actions as of yet.

The news about Vinicius Jr. affects Arsenal It would seem that Vinicius Jr.'s verbal agreement to a new contract with Real Madrid would not have much of an effect at Arsenal.

But according to DefensaCentral's earlier article, Bukayo Saka is the top candidate to replace Vinicius and/or Rodrygo should they leave anytime soon. Earlier this month, Saka was outstanding in both legs of Arsenal vs. Real Madrid's Champions League quarterfinal match.

With a crushing 5-1 aggregate victory, Arsenal humiliated Los Blancos, and Madrid authorities were particularly impressed with Saka's performance. Saka is reportedly "the signing" that must to happen, according to reports citing President Florentino Perez, CEO Jose Angel Sanchez, and top scout Juni Calafat.

Consequently, a €120 million blockbuster deal was draughted. Naturally, it was emphasised that a move for Saka would only be made in the event that Rodrygo or Vinicius left.

Arsenal's concerns have also been alleviated as Vinicius is now expected to prolong his stay.
