Reputable transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has given a thorough update on rumours that Manchester United has already finalised an agreement to sign Victor Osimhen, a prolific forward for Napoli, this summer. A "member of his entourage" reportedly disclosed that "an agreement has already been signed between Osimhen and Manchester United with a view to a transfer in the summer of 2025," according to reports from Turkey.

According to the report, Osimhen's contract with the Serie A powerhouses expires in the summer of 2026, therefore his transfer cost might potentially be as low as €30 million (£26 million) to €35 million (£30 million). Man United has increased its interest in the Galatasaray striker, who is currently on loan and has scored an incredible 29 goals in 34 games this season, as a result of the asking price. On GiveMeSport's Market Madness podcast, however, rumours that Osimhen and United had reached an agreement on personal matters were refuted.

In fact, Romano claims that because it is uncertain if United will compete in Europe next season, they have not yet begun negotiations over any summer objectives before facing Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-final. "As we stated for [Liam] Delap, the same is true for Osimhen and other targets. Man United is waiting to understand about the Europa League, whether they will play Champions League football next season or not," Romano clarified. "There is nothing agreed with any club at the moment, also," he said They obviously hope so, but there is still much work to be done before that can happen. Man United is so awaiting word on how much they may actually spend on the striker during the summer transfer window, and a Champions League budget would surely be very different. 

That will therefore be a crucial issue for United. Man United is undoubtedly interested in Osimhen.

The frontline of Manchester United has never been the same. Osimhen is enjoying himself with Galatasaray at this stage of the season, as Thesportmoment is aware. He has developed strong bonds with everyone around him, feels loved by the fans, and has total faith in the club's mission. Osimhen's satisfaction in Turkey and recent statements from Galatasaray's management, however, suggest that he will face a new task the following season.

United is still the team to keep an eye on, but Arsenal has the attacker on their radar as they look for a new striker.

According to Thesportmoment, if the Red Devils find suitable replacements for Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee this summer—which is expected to be a significant renovation at Old Trafford—they could transfer BOTH players. Delap, a standout for Ipswich who United is presently vying with Chelsea for, may be another one of those replacements.

Due to a relegation clause in his contract, Delap is poised to leave Portman Road for a fee of just £30 million. Chelsea and United have both made new bids for the England Under-21 star, as we disclosed last week. Even if there is no European football next season, the 22-year-old attacker would still like to come to Old Trafford. This season, he has scored an incredible 12 Premier League goals.
