Following the development of Man City, the Kevin de Bruyne deal is "ON."

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that a "approach" has been made for the attacking midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, who will leave Manchester City on a free transfer this summer. 

De Bruyne was never going to be short of offers, and it has been formally stated that he will be leaving Man City when his contract ends in the upcoming months.

In a recent interview, the 33-year-old, who has played a key role in the Cityzens' success under Pep Guardiola, refused to rule out remaining in Europe or even the Premier League.

Romano claims that the Chicago Fire have jumped into the De Bruyne race and have contacted his reps about a move. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Romano wrote, "MLS team Chicago Fire make approach to sign Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer."

In the coming days and weeks, De Bruyne will weigh all of the options, but Chicago Fire is already demonstrating a great deal of interest in a particular project to draw in KDB.

De Bruyne may be able to expand Mini-Man City, according to sources In recent weeks, De Bruyne has been connected to numerous teams, and a move to the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer has always been considered a possibility.

San Diego is no longer in the running for De Bruyne, despite connections, as we reported months ago. However, the Chicago Fire, a team located in Illinois, may give him another chance in the US.

Thesportmoment knows that there is a potential of Man City extending De Bruyne’s contract by a few weeks so he can play in the Club World Cup, which ends in mid-July. De Bruyne and whether he has reached an agreement with another club will be the deciding factor. Naturally, after a long season, De Bruyne's next team might be hesitant to have him play in the team World Cup.

Given the gap in the team the Belgian will leave behind, it is not surprising that Man City has already started looking at possible De Bruyne replacements. Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen is the "dream" replacement signing, according to Thesportmoment contributor Ben Jacobs, but he isn't the only candidate on the shortlist. 

The Etihad also has fans for Morgan Gibbs-White of Wolves, and according to insiders, Charles de Ketelaere of AC Milan has also been considered.

Although Bruno Guimaraes, the star of Newcastle, is not a logical replacement for De Bruyne in terms of position, Man City has long admired him and may consider him if he becomes available this summer.
