According to sources, Arsenal has begun negotiations with Andrea Berta's top striker target as it becomes increasingly clear that Mikel Arteta would not receive his preferred alternative. Arsenal was on track to finish second in the Premier League for the third consecutive season, but their domestic campaign was derailed by the lack of a dependable and effective striker.

Alexander Isak of Newcastle is the Spaniard's ideal aim to improve the striker position because Arteta is fully aware of the areas in which his team has failed. Isak is valued at £150 million by Newcastle, but according to  Thesportmoment Eddie Howe has ordered the board to turn down any and all offers the Magpies receive, even if they match the club's asking price. Furthermore, Isak is not really eager to leave Newcastle, particularly if they win the Champions League. With Newcastle now in fourth place and fifth place now sufficient to do that, UCL qualifying is imminent.

As a result, Arsenal has started to shift its focus from Isak to more accessible strikers. Additionally, David Ornstein disclosed the official's plan to recruit Viktor Gyokeres rather than Isak after Andrea Berta assumed leadership as the club's sporting director in late March. 

Gyokeres, who has amassed an astonishing 47 goals and 11 assists in 46 games for Sporting CP this season, was hailed by Berta as a great admirer. 

Gyokeres prefers a move to Arsenal over rival Chelsea, according to a Bola report. Furthermore, based on the most recent information from Football Insider, Berta has gained favour behind the scenes, and Arsenal is currently beginning negotiations to sign the Swede. "

Though United's options for new hires were severely constrained with only Patrick Dorgu joining, there were rumours of a reunion between Gyokeres and the former Sporting manager. In the present, Liam Delap is Manchester United's top striker target and could soon follow Matheus Cunha to Old Trafford.beacause of this, Arsenal thinks they have a good chance of attracting Gyokeres to north London, and his lower price tag would be a great deal for a forward who has destroyed the Primeira Liga. In 96 league games for Sporting, Gyokeres has contributed 90 goals and 26 assists. In addition, he has scored 11 goals in the team's 17 European games, including six of eight in the Champions League.
