According to reports, Man City is prepared to "break the market" with a record-breaking bid for a Barcelona player.

According to reports, Manchester City intends to "break the market" in the summer by making a British record-breaking offer for Barcelona sensation Pedri. Even though Pedri is only 22 years old, he already has an impressive collection of work. With nearly 200 games under his belt, the midfielder has scored 25 goals and provided 20 assists for Barcelona.

With Spain, he has previously won the European Championship and La Liga. Big clubs have frequently expressed interest in him due to his form and significance to major teams in both club and international football at such a young age. According to a March report, Man City was their top target for the summer transfer window, making them the most recent team to show interest in him. Furthermore, according to a later claim by Fichajes, the Cityzens are prepared to make a big move for Pedri.

They are prepared to "break the market" with a €200 million (£171.5 million) offer for the midfield player, according to the report. That would break the British transfer record, which is now held by Chelsea's 2023 acquisition of Moises Caicedo for £115 million.

Florian Wirtz is abandoned by the city. According to the source, City has "given up" on long-term target Florian Wirtz, thus all eggs are in Pedri's basket.
Wirtz is one of the players City is considering to replace the leaving Kevin De Bruyne, according to recent confirmation from Thesportmoment.

However, it was later revealed that Wirtz's father had "secret talks" with Bayern Munich, the largest team in Germany, where he was born.
It might have gone their way because the family was reportedly "honoured" by Bayern's efforts to sign the star.

Man City roundup: Cityzen could be acquired by Barcelona While City want a Barca star, the Spanish giants want a guy of their own from City, as it’s alleged Bernardo Silva has a clause in his contract with the Manchester team which is exclusively for Barcelona. It seems that he might sign with the La Liga powerhouses for as little as £50 million.
City may decide to let go of another attacking midfield player, but they are reportedly willing to consider offers for Jack Grealish.
