As Gary Neville's assessment of the possibility of the Wolves attacker joining Ruben Amorim's team comes to light, reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Manchester United has made a very astute acquisition of Matheus Cunha.

Man Utd has had a horrible season; they lost to Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the Europa League final and finished as low as 15th in the Premier League standings.

Results and performances were supposed to improve under Amorim, but under Erik ten Hag's successor, things have regressed.

But Man Utd intends to return stronger the next season, and Cunha is one of the players the Red Devils think can help them regain their former glory. 

Fraser Fletcher, Thesportmoment's transfer correspondent, stated on May 1 that Manchester United was "increasingly confident" of acquiring Cunha. 

The Wolves forward is one of Amorim's two number 10s, and he wants to sign him.

According to sources who spoke to Thesportmoment, Cunha's Wolves deal has a £62.5 million release clause. 

Man Utd is expected to finalise the agreement to transfer the 25-year-old to Old Trafford now that the Premier League season is over. 

According to Italian journalist Romano, who gave the agreement his "Here we go," Manchester United has persuaded Wolves to pay the release clause in installments.

Given the Red Devils' problems with the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), particularly after they were eliminated from the Champions League for the upcoming season, this is a Man Utd masterclass. 

On X, Romano wrote: "Here we go, Matheus Cunha to Manchester United! There is a verbal agreement between all parties.

Cunha will sign a contract with a 2031 option that will expire in June 2030. The £62.5 million clause value will be paid to Wolves in installments. 

Next week, formal procedures and contracts will be examined. Ben Jacobs, another reliable reporter, has disclosed that Cunha would wear the number 10 shirt for Manchester United.

Wolves will now face Manchester United this week. Cunha's clause is £62.5 million. If everything goes according to plan, Cinha is anticipated to don No. 10 at #MUFC.

Neville, a former Manchester United player, thinks Cunha would succeed under Amorim. "Man Utd are desperate in that position," the pundit said on Sky Sports News this month. 

Consider the current Manchester United lineup: three players who are naturally adept at travelling with the ball have been released: Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho.

They are now playing with Alejandro Garnacho, although they are lopsided. Other times, Bruno Fernandes steps up when needed, or it's Joshua Zirkzee when healthy. 

Mason Mounts come in there, but they need someone who can beat players, they need someone who's equally good running travel with the ball and through the middle, then go out wide and assist the wing-back.

He is the kind of player that Manchester United would be interested in since he would fit in with the system that Ruben Amorim wants to use. 

They will have to fill those jobs without a doubt or else they would struggle because they have lost three players that play in that position. 

They need to score goals. We're just having trouble scoring goals this weekend, so you need guys who can take chances and are skilled in the last third, and Cunha has a lot of skill, according to Ruben Amorim.
